NaNoWriMo 2006

October is here, and that means the NaNoWriMo site has been swept out and re-opened for business! Can’t you feel the energy in the air? Thousands of writers and wannabe writers, sharpening their metaphorical pencils and getting ready to put noses to grindstones in order to bang out a novel in a month.

I have *no* idea what I’m going to write this year, though. Honestly last year’s novel is still bouncing around inside me head though I haven’t touched it since last December.

I have time to come up with a plot, though… but not infinite time…

  1. If last year’s world and key figures are still in your head, why not continue their story? What happened to them next? Or what happened to a minor figure that maybe has a major figure story behind him/her? Or what lead up to the events of last year?

Is there a rule that this year’s plotline must be a complete departure from last year’s? Other than not just rewriting/editing last year’s, of course, I don’t mean cheat.

    My two coppers worth…

  2. First, sorry it took so long for your comment to show… I had the blog set to always require moderator approval. Oops.

I could continue with last year, but since I wrote the above I’ve had an inkling of an idea that I think I can run with. Thanks for the idea, though!
